Bespoke Refinishing

My preference is always to be able to work on turning peoples vehicles into the pride of joy, to create a work of excellence.  If the owner chooses to show and win awards with the car or have it featured in magazines then all the better but I get more pride from seeing the cars still looking great ten years on. The hourly rate is no higher for this work than for standard paintwork but of course the hours taken are greater when getting the car to a true concours level.  Each car is taken to bare metal to ensure no problem with previous paint can trouble the new finish.  Then every dent, pressmark and imperfection is painstakingly removed, before the many layers of primer, paint and lacquer are applied.  Then come two stages that are my unique selling points, the elements of the work that I believe separate my work from that of other quality workshops.  To keep them unique I will not be describing them here but they are why my finishes are as flat and flawless as you will find anywhere.

Quality Refinishing

Although bespoke, high-end, concours winning paintwork is my calling I understand it is not a level everyone needs or even wants.  Of course the level of work is always dictated by the customer and whether it’s a panel repair, accident damage vehicle modifications or a full re-spray quality is assured and no corners are cut.  To keep turnaround time and costs down the prep and flat & polishing will not be taken to the same extreme as in my bespoke work, but the finish will be at least on par with ‘factory finish’ and usually better.  Work is carried out in one of two bodyshops in the north Nottinghamshire area, at a reasonable price which will be confirmed before commencement and kept to on completion.  Quality is assured as my work is my reputation, whether it’s for standard cars or show cars.  Put simply I believe the bar for ‘good paintwork’ is higher than the average refinisher.

Business to Business

This offering is for businesses that have an unusual project, erratic workloads or just don’t have the volume of work to justify a permanent staff member.  I am able to be either in-sourced (i.e. working within your premises) or out-sourced using one of two workshop/paintshops I have available to me.  For many of my clients this proves to be a flexible and cost effective way of working.  It will be no surprise that most of my clients require me to carry out paintwork, but that’s not the whole story.  In recent times I have worked in a business to business format painting newly built machines, carrying out colour changes to create special editions for a tractor manufacturer, doing warranty paintwork for a vehicle manufacturer’s importer and filled, flatted and painted a buck to create a mould to build luxury motor yachts as well as acting as and ‘overflow’ for an automotive repair shop.  If you have a required something similar why not call to see if we can create a cost effective solution for you also?
